The Crisana and Maramures wine region is located in the north-west of Romania and covers the territory of Satu Mare, Salaj, Bihor and Arad counties (north of Mures). Crisana - historical province of Romania, was part of the Partium region, together with Maramures and Satmar. The Partium land meant the "parts" of Hungary, joined after 1526 to the historical core of the Transylvanian Podis, constituting together the Principality of Transylvania. In this context, the wines produced in this area became the favourite of the Austro-Hungarian Imperial meals.

DOBROGEA

Region of Dobrogea, Sands and Danube Terraces is located in southeastern Romania and stretches between the Danube and the Black Sea, bordered by the Macin Mountains. With areas of podis and alluvial hills, Dobrogea is a treasure trove of microclimates, hence the multitude of designations of origin that define the particularities of each geographical indication. There are documents that show that in the years 1760-1770, Polish merchants came and bought wine from Dobrogea and transported it on the Danube by ships that loaded at Isaccea. In an old statistic, in 1903, the North-Dubrogean county alone owned an area of 5,800 hectares of vineyards (Podgoria Sarica-Niculitel) and produced about 305,000 hectolitres of wine annually.

Main varieties: Aligoté, Chardonnay, Cramposie, Feteasca alba, Feteasca regala, Muscat Ottonel, Pinot gris, Riesling de Rhin, Riesling italian, Rkatiteli, Sauvignon, Tamaioasa romaneasca, Traminer roz, Babeasca neagra, Burgund mare, Cabernet franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Feteasca neagra, Mamaia, Merlot, Pinot noir, Syrah.

MUNTENIA

D.O.P. Dealu Mare (sden Boldesti, Valea Calugareasca, Urlati, Ceptura, Tohani, Breaza, Merei, Zoresti) D.O.P. Pietroasa, D.O.P. Stefanesti

Muntenia viticola brings together the hilly area of the Getic Subcarpathians and the curving Subcarpathians, with the more gentle slopes exposed to the sun all day long and along the rivers that spring from the mountains or cross the Carpathians: Olt, Arges, Dambovita, Prahova and Buzau. The Dealu Mare area is and will continue to be, for the foreseeable future, the epicenter of quality wines in Romania, with the highest concentration of small, medium and large producers, oriented towards wine production. Premium. A critical moment in the development of Dealu Mare vineyard was the phylloxera invasion which was first reported at Chitorani in 1884, followed by the replanting of the vineyards with old Romanian varieties grafted on rootstocks resistant to the insect attack.

Main varieties: [Albe] Aligoté, Chardonnay, Cramposie selectionata, Feteasca alba, Feteasca regala, Grasa de Cotnari, Moscato bianco, Muscat Ottonel, Pinot blanc, Pinot gris, Riesling italian, Sauvignon, Tamaioasa romaneasca, Traminer roz, Viognier, [Negre] Barbera, Babeasca neagra, Burgund mare, Busuioaca de Bohotin, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Feteasca neagra,Grenache, Merlot, Mourvedre, Nebbiolo, Negru aromat, Negru de Dragasani, Novac, Petit Verdot, Pinot noir, Sangiovese, Syrah

OLTENIA

D.O.P. Dragasani, D.O.P. Samburesti, D.O.P. Banu Maracine, D.O.P. Segarcea D.O.P. Mehedinti (sden Severin, Corcova, Golul Drincei, Vanju Mare, Orevita) I.G.P. Dealurile Olteniei

Oltenia, known for its island vineyards, located close to commercial urban areas, still has, in addition to a multitude of national and international varieties, both hybrid grape varieties (such as the famous Siebel/ Zaibar), as well as ancestral Romanian varieties (Rosioara verde, Rosioara comuna, Rosioara neagra, Mustoasa de Maderat, Babeasca neagra, Negru moale, Negru vartos, Gordan)[1], which have survived phylloxera [3], precisely because of their adaptability to sandy soils, where the insect cannot migrate from one root to another, making it impossible for it to burrow through the sand.

Main varieties: Chardonnay, Cramposie selectionata, Feteasca alba, Feteasca regala, Muscat Ottonel, Pinot gris, Riesling de Rhin, Riesling italian, Sauvignon, Tamaioasa romaneasca, Tamaioasa roza, Ugni Blanc, Viognier, Babeasca neagra, Burgund mare, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Dornfelder, Feteasca neagra, Marselan, Merlot, Negru de Dragasani, Novac, Pinot noir, Sangiovese, Syrah, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional.

The Transylvanian Plateau wine-growing region, known until ten years ago as a classic area for the production of outstanding white wines, is located in wine-growing area B2. The climatic changes of the last decades have also favoured the elaboration of particularly expressive and recognizable red wines, which have already been awarded at various national and international competitions. An area where we find the famous fortified churches, countless castles that once belonged to the grofs, ruins of medieval fortresses and even fortresses inhabited today, such as Sighisoara and the Cetatea de Balta, Transylvania brings along with its history a plethora of remarkable wines.

Main varieties: [Albe] Chardonnay, Feteasca alba, Feteasca regala, Furmint, Iordana, Kerner, Muscat Ottonel, Neuburger, Petit Manseng, Pinot gris, Riesling de Rhin, Riesling italian, Sauvignon, Traminer aromat, Traminer roz, [Negre] Cabernet Sauvignon, Feteasca neagra, Merlot, Pinot noir, Syrah, Zweigelt.
