The eighth edition of the National Bag-in-Box Wine Competition has announced its winners. The title of Best Bag-in-Box Wine was won by 73 out of the 208 entries, and 11 outstanding wines also received the "gold" distinction. Additionally, the presidents of the jury committees selected their favorites from each category (white, rosé, and red), and another jury of 30 connoisseurs chose three more wines for the "most popular bag-in-box wine" category. Jidvei, Via Viticola, Domeniile Averesti, Budureasca and Cramele Recas are among the gold medalists.

Following the competition, a minimum of 15 samples are selected and promoted at the international bag-in-box wine competition, the Concours International Wine in Box, which will take place in Toulouse, France, on March 27. Additionally, 15 samples will be entered into the Vinarium International Wine Contest, the international wine competition hosted by Romania under the patronage of OIV. The National Bag-in-Box Wine Competition is organized by Azoc Star, a member of the Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box division, the European leader for bag-in-box solutions.
