The winery is located in Dobrogea’s oldest vineyard. In 1958, the State Agricultural Farm was founded on the current winery’s site. Following large-scale plantings during 1962-1968, the State Agricultural Enterprise was created, managing 1,100 hectares of vineyards. After privatization in 1991, the current plantation was established and managed by the winery.

Recognized especially for its Aligoté, which captures the essence of the local terroir, the winery has solidified its reputation as a producer of authentic wines. Since 2023, the winery has been part of Vintruvian Estates, managing its vineyard of 383 hectares and sourcing grapes from an additional 400 hectares.

Located near the Letea Forest, a unique natural reserve, the winery draws inspiration from the wild horses that roam the area, symbols of freedom. These horses inspired the "Caii de la Letea" wine range, reflecting the free and authentic spirit of Dobrogea.
