Domeniul Bogdan is the first biodynamic winery in Romania. It applies principles that exclude the use of chemical products—no herbicides, pesticides, or chemical fertilizers. The focus is on natural soil fertility and biodiversity, guided by the lunar calendar, intending to obtain healthy, high-quality grapes. The vines, planted in 2011 on 154 hectares in Dobrogea, within the Murfatlar D.O.C. vineyard, are manually tended, which reduces pollution and guarantees high-quality fruit.

The winery, which opened in 2017 in Medgidia, combines modern winemaking technologies with traditional methods and is currently collaborating with renowned consultant Stephane Derenoncourt of Derenoncourt Consultants, ensuring high standards of quality and authenticity. Domeniul Bogdan remains a pioneer in biodynamic viticulture, producing wines that reflect the Dobrogean terroir and a firm commitment to sustainability.
