The autumn edition of the RO-Wine Festival will take place in Bucharest this weekend at Fratelli Studios, October 11 – 13. Over the course of three days, you’ll have the chance to discover premium wine selections from Romania and all major wine regions around the world, gourmet bites, and new insights at the daily masterclasses.
A Unique Taste Experience
On Friday, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Fratelli Studios will once again open its doors to wine lovers.
This edition promises a special experience, with new or already renowned wineries from Romania and Moldova, alongside premium importers offering carefully selected wines from France, Italy, Spain, Argentina, Chile, New Zealand, and Australia – over 1,000 labels in total, many appearing for the first time, as well as iconic wines well-known to connoisseurs.
As always, most wineries will be represented by their owners and winemakers, the most qualified to tell the story behind their wines.
A special guest at the festival will be Distretto Produttivo Vino di Sicilia, bringing dozens of wine labels from the heart of Sicily. Representatives from the wineries will offer visitors the opportunity to explore and better understand the richness and diversity of Sicilian wines.
Exceptional Masterclasses
During the three festival days, 15 masterclass sessions will be held, all led by internationally recognized specialists. The topics will range from exploring a grape variety or region to family businesses, new winery launches, and tributes to historical traditions.
Distretto Produttivo Vino di Sicilia will also host two special masterclasses: “Chista è a Sicilia” and “U sapuri da me Terra” on Friday and Saturday, where Chef di ARS Antonino Signorelli will lead cooking shows pairing Sicilian wines with authentic gourmet products.
During the masterclass Sicily Wines – “Discover the Unicity of Sicilian Wines”, you’ll have the opportunity to explore or deepen your knowledge of Nero d’Avola DOC and Grillo DOC. A complete list of masterclasses is available on the event’s website: www.romaniawinefestival.com, in the "Masterclass" section.
100-Point Wines
Festival visitors will also have access to rare and collectible wines, all recognized with 100-point scores by experts like Robert Parker, Jeb Dunnuck, and James Suckling. Wine lovers will have a unique chance to taste wines from renowned Bordeaux estates: Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou 2009, Chateau Haut Bailly 2009, Chateau Cos d’Estournel 2009, Chateau Montrose 2009, Chateau Troplong Mondot 2009, and Vieux Chateau Certan 2009.
