Three days of a festival where wine and gourmet lovers can meet over 1,000 wine labels, top Italian dishes, craft beer, and specialty coffee are starting! The schedule for this autumn’s RO-Wine festival will be from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday (reserved for Horeca specialists) and from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday.
Germany and Hungary are participating for the first time
RO-Wine | The International Wine Festival of Romania is bringing wine enthusiasts and aficionados together this autumn as well! It’s three days of exclusive tastings, unforgettable stories, and carefully prepared surprises by the organizers. As always, this year’s autumn edition promises to provide a unique experience for all those who appreciate the art of wine and quality gourmet products.
The Autumn Edition of RO-Wine 2023 will surely impress wine and gastronomy enthusiasts with the unique flavors of premium and super-premium wines from 14 countries. For the first time, wine producers from Germany and Hungary will be participating in this edition. As usual, visitors will be able to learn the wine’s story directly from the producers and participate in events hosted by renowned personalities in the field.
Book Launch by Marinela Ardelean
On Friday, October 13, the book launch event for "Tara si Vinul" will take place, based on Marinela Ardelean’s doctoral work, a co-organizer of the RO-Wine festival. Additionally, Friday is dedicated to Horeca professionals.
Italian Taste Salon and Importers’ Salon
The festival organizers will bring "The Taste of Italy" closer to Italian taste enthusiasts with a selection of exclusive specialties from producers in a dedicated salon, organized by ICE – the Italian Trade Agency, most of which are presented in Romania for the first time. Among the top participants are new wine producers, premium wine exhibitions, olive oil displays, cheese presentations, traditional Italian pastry specialties, and delicacies from renowned regions – Veneto, Puglia, Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, Campania, Sicily, Piedmont, Lazio, Lombardy, and Abruzzo.
Moreover, festival guests will discover 25 stands featuring the most important importers and distributors in the country, all located in the Importers’ Salon.
Macromex Experience
Over the three festival days, visitors can taste craft beer, discover Macromex’s gourmet product exhibitions, and participate in wine masterclasses, presentations, and new wine launches.
Macromex Horeca is joining the RO-Wine festival again this year. As a Gourmet Partner, they will complement the entire wine experience with exceptional dishes. Macromex’s Gourmet Experience will span the culinary world, featuring bakery products, pastries, and confectionery, à la carte dishes based on juicy sous-vide products, and street food options available at the Food&Glory food truck located in the venue’s parking lot. Macromex, through its own brands (Food&Glory, Edenia, Corso, La Strada), as well as partner brands (Philadelphia, La Lorraine, and Dr. Oetker), once again proves to be a major player, both in retail and Horeca.
One of the most popular stands at the festival has always been Constantin Coffee, a specialty coffee stand. They will delight curious visitors not only with flavors but also with the stories behind artisanal products at this edition.
A Greener Edition!
With the support of Reciclad’OR, the festival manages to integrate specific actions to support a sustainable lifestyle and environmental care in every edition. A long-standing sustainable partner of the festival, Reciclad’OR promises innovations in consumer awareness and eco-friendly experiences to encourage greater attention to environmental protection, recycling, waste reduction, and eco-friendly alternatives.
Visitors from all over the country and special international guests, all sharing the same passion for exceptional wine, will be part of the event.
A Festival for All Needs
„We already have the experience of twelve festivals organized so far, and we also have the belief that a lucky 13th edition is ahead. We’ve learned to anticipate market trends and needs, to meet the desires of those who come to this festival, whether they are Horeca experts or wine lovers. Since 2016, we have covered the need for wine lovers to learn, the need for importers, distributors, restaurants, and wine shops to diversify their offerings, wine lovers’ pleasure to discover, and the opportunity for a good business for those looking for the best quality-price ratio.
The steadily growing numbers over the past years – visitors, exhibitors, showcased labels, glasses used, etc. – allow us to say that we have become a reference point in Romania’s wine industry and that we are on the brink of maturity. We are delighted to see the increasing presence of foreign tourists coming especially to discover the best Romanian wines, and we are convinced that wine and gastronomic tourism have a bright future in Romania," say the organizers of the RO-Wine festival, Marinela Ardelean, and Liviu and Mihai Popescu.
See you on October 13, 14, and 15 at Fratelli Bucuresti!
We look forward to seeing you, and don’t forget – if you work in the Horeca industry, access is free upon registration on the festival’s website – https://romaniawinefestival.com.
