Daiconi Winery (Merlot), Triterra Winery (Cabernet Sauvignon rose) and Minciuna Lica (Sauvignon Blanc) won the first places at the 7th edition of the Romanian Wine Stories contest.

Organized by BASF Romania, with the support of the Association of Authorized Tasters of Romania, the competition is aimed exclusively at small and medium-sized producers, which exploit less than 100 hectares of vines, the prizes are intended to help wineries in their further development.

Besides the best wines, the competition also awards the most beautiful label – this year the title was won by the Italian Riesling "Inceputuri", from Mosia Domneasca Panciu – and the most creative label – Taine – De esti nazdravana, from the same producer.

Beyond the results of the official jury, a panel of influencers invited to taste the 36 finalists also chose their favourite wines. The 2022 winners were Minciuna Lica – Tamaioasa Romaneasca, Crama Hamangia – Cabernet Sauvignon rose and PFA Stegariu Florin (Crama Strunga) – Feteasca Neagra sweet.
