For ten years, RO-Wine has been celebrating Romanian wine – from its special editions to the now-traditional spring and autumn events in Bucharest, joined since 2018 by the annual gatherings in Cluj.
For a decade, glasses have been raised in Bucharest not only in honor of wine itself, but of the passion surrounding it. A story has taken shape – one about people, elegance, refinement, and the courage to believe that Romania can be a resonant name on the world map of wine.
In a country with a millennia-old winemaking tradition, RO-Wine | The International Wine Festival of Romania has become a true landmark. It is a place where wine is more than a beverage – it is a shared language between creators, oenologists, sommeliers, and curious visitors alike.

Ten Years of Excellence, Celebrated with a Special Edition
The anniversary edition, held October 10–12, 2025 at Fratelli Studios, closes the festival’s jubilee year in style and sophistication.
For three days, Bucharest becomes the capital of Romanian and European wine: more than 1,000 premium wines from Romania, Moldova, France, Italy, Spain, and the United States will be open for tasting – and just as many stories will be told by the winemakers and oenologists who bring them to life.
Come to RO-Wine, No Matter How Much You Know About Wine
Throughout the three festival days, every visitor is invited to take one more step along the path of wine.
Beginners can discover wineries, join guided tours led by sommeliers, meet winemakers and estate owners, or learn the basics of food and wine pairing.
Enthusiasts can compare the new vintage with the memories of past wines, explore new wineries, delve into varietal expressions or the terroirs of different wine regions, and learn more about the work behind each vine and cellar.
Connoisseurs will find an exceptional selection of masterclasses – open to all, but designed for the curious and experienced alike. This year’s highlights include two beloved Italian producers, Cantina Terlan and Tommasi, two sparkling brunches – one dedicated entirely to Taittinger, the other to Champagne – and two exclusive tastings of wines rated 100 points by Parker.
Where Wine Meets Gastronomy
In the Gourmet Hall, wine and gastronomy come together in a refined dance, transforming the space into a stage for a true culinary performance, complete with live cooking sessions.
Chef Nicolai Tand returns, as always, with specialties inspired by his native Maramureș – zacuscă, cured meats, cheeses, fine pastries, and warm bread under his L’univers de Nicolai brand. It’s a perfect opportunity to discover which wines pair best with traditional Romanian dishes, as well as to sample local Maramureș spirits presented by La Horincie.
Macromex, the festival’s official gourmet partner, brings innovation to the table – from sous-vide menus and filled pasta to spectacular desserts featuring Philadelphia cream cheese and rich cheesecakes.
And for those seeking a flavorful break between tastings, Constantin Coffee awaits, as always, with exceptional specialty coffee.

Innovation and Partnerships that Inspire
The 2025 edition marks a remarkable premiere: the Association of Winemakers from Dealu Mare will participate with a dedicated stand, supported by Rubin Glass Factory – a regional leader in premium glass production and the exclusive glass partner of RO-Wine. This collaboration aims to create, in the years to come, a platform for dialogue and visibility for other representative winemakers’ associations from across Romania’s wine regions.
Another new feature this year is the “Networking Hour”, an initiative designed to build bridges between the HoReCa world and wine producers. The event will take place on the festival’s opening day, at 2:00 PM, with access granted by invitation only.
RO-Wine: A Community, Not Just a Festival
For ten years, RO-Wine has brought together people from different worlds, united by the same passion. It has become a platform for networking, learning, and inspiration – for producers, distributors, sommeliers, and wine lovers eager to explore the pleasure of wine in the company of the best.
The festival is not just an event – it is a statement about who we are, and a reflection of how wine culture can tell the story of a nation.
In every glass raised at Fratelli Studios, one can find tradition, innovation, and the promise of a refined Romania – a country that knows how to turn wine into both a symbol of elegance and a strong national brand.
“I have always said that Romanian wine can stand, without hesitation, alongside the great wines of the world. Today, after ten years, RO-Wine has become an international destination and a community of taste ambassadors.
It is a place where you can learn, explore, and uncover the hidden details of the wine world – where you meet people who share your passion for flavor, for tradition, and for authenticity,” says Marinela Ardelean, co-organizer of the festival.
