Jidvei confirms international excellence: the only Romanian wine producer included in the Top 100 global premium producers for the second consecutive year.
Jidvei, one of the most awarded Romanian wine producers, marks a new international achievement by being included for the second consecutive year in the prestigious global ranking “Top 100 Premium Wine and Spirits Producers in the World,” of the Luxury Lifestyle Awards. This distinction confirms Jidvei’s position as an ambassador of Romanian wine quality and authentic viticultural traditions from Transylvania.
Wine is one of the most valuable calling cards of a country, and Romania has all the necessary assets to transform its wines into a true national brand, capable of promoting traditions, culture, and the uniqueness of its local wine regions on a global scale.
Jidvei, a partner for Romania
Jidvei wines from the Owner’s Choice collections – Ana and Maria – or the Jidvei Pinot Noir range – the only Pinot Noir range in Romania vinified in white, rosé, and red – have captivated international audiences at prestigious cultural events, such as the opening of the Constantin Brâncuși exhibition at the Pompidou Center in Paris, the Cannes International Film Festival, or the "Stars of Romanian Opera" Gala held on the stage of La Fenice Theater in Venice.
“For over 25 years, every bottle of Jidvei wine has carried over the story of Transylvania, a region with a winemaking tradition over 800 years old, known since the feudal era as ‘Wine Country’ (Weinland).
Jidvei vineyards grow on some of the oldest and most fertile viticultural lands in Europe. Jidvei’s inclusion for the second consecutive year in the Top 100 Premium Wine and Spirits Brands of the World, alongside renowned brands from France, Italy, Spain, Chile, and Australia, confirms the international recognition of our wines’ quality and authenticity.
For us, Jidvei is not just a 100% Romanian family business that has reached its third generation, but also a promoter of cultural values and Romania’s unique terroir on the international stage. Beyond creating premium wines appreciated globally, our philosophy also emphasizes promoting the cultural and natural heritage of this exceptional area, and building a solid and sustainable legacy for future generations.
We strongly believe that Romanian wine can become a powerful national symbol and a valuable bridge to the future,” says Claudiu Necșulescu, President of Jidvei Group.

A wine castle
An integral part of the cultural heritage that Jidvei promotes is the Bethlen-Haller Castle – a symbol of the harmonious meeting between history, passion for wine, and authentic Transylvanian hospitality. After a long and meticulous restoration process, the castle is now open to visitors and wine lovers, serving not only as a destination offering a wide range of activities but also as a successful example of the sustainability and circular economy model.
Luxury Lifestyle Awards is one of the most prestigious global programs recognizing excellence in premium products and services. Each year, over 5,000 products and services from 120 regions worldwide are evaluated, and the final results reflect a list of the best of the best in the world.
