Crama Ferdi – a constantly updated "passport" of the winery, useful for consumers and professionals
Ferdi Winery – a passion that transcends craftsmanship and transforms into art. This winery, although relatively young, has deep roots in the desire to master wine. Ferdi Winery embodies entirely the vision and concept of its owner and winemaker, Fernando Mihăilescu, who has taken on the challenge of creating wines in a personal style but following the traditional method; later joined in this bold endeavor by his son, Paul Mihăilescu. A few years ago, we timidly carved out a place in the Tohani area. Our priority has always been to achieve excellence in wine production, knowing that quality wine originates in the vineyard. Therefore, after careful vineyard care, we begin the selection on each vine individually, and ultimately manually harvest in crates to obtain top-quality grapes. The winemaking process is one of long-term perspective, as red wines are aged for 1 to 2 years in oak barriques. Our principle of "less is more" is evident from minimal intervention in the winemaking process, allowing the wines to convey the true essence of their terroir, and culminating in their names, which are connected to the emotional memory of their creator. Ferdi Winery’s wines are distinguished by their naturalness, consistency, acidity, and elegance. The use of traditional winemaking methods results in a range of balanced and refined wines.
