Tohani Romania has launched the "Urban Escapees Community" program for this summer, just an hour away from Bucharest. This series of events aims to reconnect city dwellers with the vibrant greenery, fresh air, traditions, and taste of the land.
A Manifesto for Nature
"We are increasingly numerous. We want to escape the city, the crazy neon rhythm of a big city. For you, we created the Urban Escapees Community, a place where background noise no longer exists and connection with the earth and nature is restored.
Amidst the vineyard terraces, whether in spring or autumn, we gather to walk barefoot, pick grapes, and relearn how life sounds and feels in vibrant green. We will learn to care for the land, the vineyard, make wine, sew, play the traditional pipe (caval), and dance," says Tohani Romania’s program, after its third edition of the "Barefoot" events.
Four More "Barefoot" Saturdays Await
The "Barefoot" series has already featured a wine tasting workshop and a concert by Trei Parale (July 6), a blending workshop and a concert by Alexandru Draghici Band (July 13), as well as a traditional cooking workshop and a concert by Kottarshki (July 20).
As you may have already understood, each Saturday follows a relatively similar structure, with different workshops and concerts each time, complemented by a welcome buffet, a guided tour and tasting at the winery, and a dinner with wine pairing.
If you’re sad about the events you missed, the good news is there are still four more meetings in this series, followed by another three related to grape picking.
