The 21st edition of the annual IWCB / Vinarium wine competition announced its winners today. The competition took place from May 23 to 26 in Ploiesti, where the 47 judges evaluated over 1500 samples from 26 countries.
Vinarium is the only competition in Eastern Europe organized under the high patronage of the OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine) and Vinofed.
The Wines of Romania partners won a total of 1 grand gold medal, 20 gold medals, and 5 silver medals. Congratulations to the organizers and all participants!
Our partners’ medals:
- Crama DeMatei: 5 gold medals for Patima Feteasca neagra, Patima Merlot, Patima Cabernet Sauvignon, Rosturi (blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Feteasca neagra), and Prince Matei 2017, and 1 silver medal for Migala Red (blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Feteasca neagra).

- Sarica Niculitel – Caii de la Letea: 3 gold medals for Chardonnay Princeps, Aligote Caii de la Letea Vol. II, and Epiphanie 2019, and 1 silver medal for Aligote Caii de la Letea Vol. I.
- Jidvei: 2 gold medals for Iluziv 2023 (blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Italian Riesling, and Muscat Ottonel) and Owner’s Choice Ana Sauvignon Blanc 2023.
- Domeniul Bogdan: 2 gold medals for Primordial Sauvignon Blanc 2023 and Primordial Rose, Pinot Noir 2023.
- Gramofon – 1 gold medal for Cuvee Alb 2022 (Muscat Ottonel, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Feteasca regala).
