Cepari Winery

Tradition and modernity

The Cepari village is located South of the Drăgăşani vineyard, the half distance between Drăgăşani and Slatina, facing the Olteţ river. The village is part of the Cârlogani community, a resounding name for wine lovers since it is the second name of the Crâmpoşie – Cârloganca variety.
The first attempts in winemaking were certified here around 1559. Ever since, the technology followed the time’s demands, searching a well-defined identity no matter the type of ownership involved.
The actual surface is 20 hectares, situated on gentle hills, facing South and South-West and lined with deep valleys. The harvested varieties are Drăgăşani’s special, with focus on 0,5 hectares of Crâmpoşie Veche in an experimental plantation. Thus, it is envisaged a continuity of this particular variety in its original area as well as redrawing the features of the oldest grape variety in the vineyard.
The winery has been updated in 2010 and comprises modern equipment designed to obtain premium quality wines, whether pure or blends expressly relevant, with bold, robust acidity, typical to the area.
