Deep ruby red. Aromas of red and black berries, black cherries, bitter cherries, complimented by secondary notes acquired during the oak barrels maturation. Velvety and relatively balanced taste, but I would have preferred that a small part of the residual sugar had been transformed into alcohol, since I am sure that the fruit extract and the aromatic complexity would have perfectly integrated (16% ABV wines from the same producer stand as proof). On the other hand, if it is only a matter of natural fermentation, using local yeasts, then I am glad that such wines exist!
