A new page in old tales
Located near Histria Citadel, on the gentle slopes of Dobrogea, the 150 hectares of vineyards that make up Crama Histria plantation benefit from a very sunny area that encourages the accumulation of sugar in grapes and are constantly comforted by the sea breeze, that smoothes extreme temperatures that can be recorded both in summer and winter.
The plantation was set up forty years ago in the Istria wine-growing area. The predominant varieties at the beginning were the red ones: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Băbească Neagră. Over the years, the grapes supplied have been transformed into special wines at Cramele Oprişor, Cramele Recaş, Cramele Halewood, Murfatlar, S.E.R.V.E. Established in 2015, Crama Histria focuses on high-quality wines, all based on care for grape harvesting, picking and manual sorting, as well as modern stainless steel machines used in the wine cellar.
In the first year, our experts created a balanced range of the most popular varieties: Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé – all present in the Mirachi Range.
