Grasă de Cotnari is a local grape variety, famous in the Cotnari area, with a long history: it was about the 15th century, when king Stephen the Great, a great wine connoisseur for his time, first appreciated this grape. Cultivated on an area of 50 hectares, Grasă de Cotnari, the grape behind this wine if found here under a new interpretation, one closer to the evolution of today’s taste. A lower level of residual sugar (with less than 4g / litre), a bright yellow wine, like the one in Van Gogh’s paintings, with lively shades of green, reminding of delicate jasmine, mountain honey, melon and discreet notes of musk. The taste is delicate, complex and fresh. The finish is pleasantly dry and balanced. When the still young vines will come of age and gain personality, this modern version of the Grass of Cotnari will truly be amazing.
