A red-purple wine, with garnet notes, characterized primarily by it’s finely tuned balance. The hot year led to unusual accumulations of sugars, which greatly increased the level of alcohol, but this is lost among the complex notes that evolve from the vegetable-floral onset to cherries and red berries, a picture complete with dark shades of plums, black fruits, toasted wood. Extremely friendly, intense taste, with sweet notes of ripe red fruits, aromatic herbs, strawberries, blackberries. Tannins are soft, melted, but still noticeable in the dense body, well supported by acidity. Long finish with extra touches of cocoa, cherries and smoked plums.
