A combination of old and
young noble vines
Located in Dealu Mare, in Finţeşti, Domeniile Blaga was founded in 2010. It produces annually between 150 and 200 tons of quality, white and red wine, carefully controlled, from the first cuttings to the ripe grapes, sorted and processed in the winery, from the sweet stum to a wine full of character.
The vineyards cover an area of about 40 hectares on lands renown for very favourable pedoclimatic conditions for cultivating vine and obtaining high quality wines: Valea Călugărească, Valea Mieilor (Urlaţi), Ceptura, Vadu Săpat, Gura Vadului, Perşunari and Finţeşti (Năeni). A combination of old and young noble vines gives certain uniqueness to the wines produced in this winery. The Dealu Mare area specific varieties can also be found on the plantations of Domeniile Blaga: Fetească Regală, Fetească Albă, Muscat Ottonel, Tămâioasă and Riesling – for white wines; Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc – for red wines.
A cellar of about a thousand square meters allows storing and conditioning wines in tanks and oak barrels before bottling and then storing the bottles.
Domeniile Blaga winery’s expansion and modernization are at this moment an ongoing process. The plantations are gradually renewed, through the European Union reconversion program, making it possible to extend the noble varieties range, the varietals and hence the quantity of the wine produced.
