| It was and still is: a passion for wine. In 2011, we planted 12 hectares of vines with the idea of producing high-quality, healthy and friendly wine that would appeal to connoisseurs and beyond. In 2016, we completed the processing unit equipped with the necessary machinery to process wine to the highest standards, and in 2023-2024, we reached the final stage of development, which involved building a suitable storage warehouse, a presentation / tasting room, and completing the equipment with a bottling and labeling line. The village of Ratesti, Satu Mare county, where we established Crama Teodor, has been certified as a wine producer for over 300 years, dating back to the arrival of the Swabians in this area. This is evidenced by the dozens of cellars, over 100 years old, where wine can still be enjoyed today. The pedoclimatic conditions give the area a well-defined terroir, with each cultivated variety having something specific to the region that adds extra charm to the wines. We produce three ranges of wines: 1. The Frappant range, mainly intended for the retail area: semi-sweet rose Cadarca, semi-dry Feteasca neagra, semi-dry Cuvee (Rhein Riesling + Tamaioasa romaneasca). 2. The Adeodatus range – intended for Horeca: dry Rhein Riesling, dry Tamaioasa romaneasca, dry Sauvignon Blanc, dry Cabernet Sauvignon, dry Merlot, dry Pinot Noir, and dry Feteasca neagra. 3. The Satmar range – super-premium wines: Dry Feteasca Neagra Doble Pasta and a dry white blend. The quality of our wines is certified by the scores obtained in international competitions we have participated in over the last 3-4 years, with all wines scoring over 84 points, resulting in 25 medals. As a sign of gratitude for this miraculous product given by God, wine, we created the Adeodatus range, derived from Teodor (originally Theodorus), bearing the insignia of church stained glass windows and the sign of the Celtic Trinity, reflecting the historical depth of these lands, where the Celts and the free Dacians coexisted. |
