Ecological wines
Crama Vinfrana is located in Adamclisi, near the Tropaeum Traiani monument, in Constanţa county. It is a new, modern building, housing a production factory, a wine aging section, and a bottling one, as well as a laboratory and a tasting area. The vine is young, planted starting in 2006.
Thanks to the region’s features, with mild temperatures, the option was from the very beginning for robust red wines, without forgetting the semi-flavored whites. The varieties grown onto the 130 hectares are Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Fetească Neagră, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. Each grape is carefully hand-picked.
There is absolutely no chemical treatment applied to the vine, just organic ones, recognized by eco certifying authorities. The vineyard enjoys the fresh, pure air, as well as the environment of the Natura 2000 protected area. Thus, the wine is not only good, but also organic, as certified by Austria Bio Guarantie.
The grapes processing technique is the gravitational one. The stum is fermented under surveillance, at a controlled temperature. 1.200 toasted oak barrels are available for aging, presenting a medium and a medium plus burning. These are laid down into the cellar in order to safeguard humidity as well as control the appropriate temperature.
