Deep ruby-red with wonderful garnet touches. A fumé odour, earthy, soft, woody, with whiffs of tobacco and hot paprika, but also cloves, nutmeg and sour cherries. All this cascade of spices recalls the turbulent past that these hills have witnessed. Coarse in the beginning, the wine opens in an exotic rhythm, a display of refined sensations, clean, rich, with silky tannins, carefully crafted. The aftertaste is still smoky, whereas the taste turns to dried fruits, figs in particular.
