Ruby red, with garnet hues. Fine hints of smoke, wood, and toast, opening towards forest berries. The nose, before tasting, seems to suggest a wine more mature than it really is. Medium body and rather ample structure. The acidity is surprisingly high for its age, still above average, while the tannins, slightly dried, are close to full integration. Medium to long finish, dominated by fruit, with dried flowers and sweet alcohol notes, developing as the temperature of the wine increases. It is the kind of blend that requires (quite insistently) to sit next to a steak or a grill.
