Domeniile Băniei, the market name under which the Vie-Vin Segarcea company operates, is the kind of story that you can’t help but like. Daniel Spiridon grew from a small trader to owner of several rural pubs, then invested in producing beverages (predominantly spirits), earned some wealth, then inherited a hectare of vineyard and his life changed. He started to invest in his new passion, saved decades-old vineyards, which he cleaned up and brought them to a new life.
The winery, one of the few in Romania that operates in an urban industrial space, has grown every year, until it has reached modern standards. With the good management of production, came the market recognition, the wines from here being listed both in the large retail and in restaurants.
